QNADohaThe Ministry of Interior inaugurated a five-day traffic management skills course for officers and other ranks on Monday in preparation for the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022. (first group).This workshop, offered by the Traffic Awareness Department of the General Directorate of Traffic, fits within the Ministry of Interior’s ongoing efforts to elevate the level of professional performance and enhance human competences in preparation for the championship.The course curriculum includes several axes, such as an introduction to the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022, the role of the General Directorate of Traffic in this major sporting event, the duties and tasks of the traffic unit, the daily work of traffic patrols, closures, and alternative plans, and the management of pedestrian traffic near sports sites..Participants in the workshop will also learn how to deal with traffic accidents during the tournament, as well as the function of the operations room (NCC-TCC) and other related topics.
