The Birla Public School (BPS), Doha, celebrated the 73rd Independence Day of India with patriotic fervour on Thursday. BPS Doha Chairman Lukose K Chacko hoisted the national flag, which was followed by the rendition of the national anthem by the school choir. Vice Chairman Gope Shahani, vice principals Rajesh Pillai and Bhavna Sonkamble, Administrative Manager Joseph K, staff members, parents and students were present on the occasion. Chacko, in his Independence Day message, praised India’s moon mission ‘Chandrayaan II’. The celebrations concluded with patriotic songs and dance performances by students. (TNN)
