Al Sadd scored a convincing 106-74 win over Qatar SC in the 16th round of Qatar Basketball Federation men’s league at the Al Gharafa Sports Hall on Wednesday evening.

Al Sadd dominated the match winning all the four quarters of the match - 26-25, 28-13, 21-15, 31-21.

J’von Joseph Cormick emerged as the Most Valuable Player for Al Sadd scoring 29 points with eight rebounds and eight assists.

For Qatar SC, Dejan Janjic excelled scoring 35 points.

The win for Al Sadd took their points tally to 27, second behind leader Al Rayyan (30), while Qatar SC are sixth in the table with 20 points.

The league continues on Thursday with Al Gharafa set to compete against Al Khor, and Al Ahli going up against Al Arabi in two crucial encounters.

As the tournament progresses, anticipation builds for the upcoming semi-finals which will feature the top four teams following the conclusion of the second round.

Al Arabi (26pts), Al Ahli (25), Al Shamal (24), Al Gharafa (19), Al Wakrah (18), and Al Khor (18) are the other clubs in the nine-team league.
