DOHA: The State of Qatar has hosted a meeting that included Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Qatar HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan HE Ayman Safadi; Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HRH Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Immigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Dr Badr Abdel Aty; Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates HE Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar; Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization HE Hussein Al Sheikh; and US President's Special Representative for the Middle EastHE Steve Witkoff.

During the meeting, the Arab foreign ministers presented the Gaza reconstruction plan approved by the Arab Summit held in Cairo on March 4, 2025. They also agreed with the US envoy to continue consultations and coordination on this plan as a basis for reconstruction efforts in the Strip.

The Arab ministers affirmed the importance of consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the need to launch a genuine effort to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring the fulfillment of the Palestinian people's aspirations for freedom and independence.

The Arab ministers reiterated their commitment to continuing dialogue to promote calm and joint action to consolidate security, stability, and peace in the region, through intensified diplomatic efforts and coordination with various regional and international parties.
