DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani has chaired the regular Cabinet meeting.

The Cabinet approved the draft decision of the Minister of Justice to organise the initial real estate registry, and to display the project on the 'Sharek'platform for a period of 10 days, to express any views and observations regarding it.

This project, which was prepared in coordination with the General Authority for Regulating the Real Estate Sector, comes in implementation of the provisions of Law No. (6) of 2014 regulating real estate development, and with the aim of providing the legislative framework for recording the data of the real estate units separated on the map and proving and recording the rights and legal dispositions that apply to them.

The Cabinet considered the topics on its agenda, where the Cabinet approved - in principle - the draft Cabinet resolution to determine the administrative units that comprise the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority and to designate their competencies. This project, which was prepared in coordination with the Civil Service Bureau and Government Development, aims to complete the modernization and development of the institutional structure of the administrative units that implement modern social insurance systems in accordance with the Social Insurance Law and the Military Retirement Law.

The Cabinet also approved the draft decision of the Minister of Finance to determine the remuneration of members of tender and auction committees and secretariats, and the controls for their entitlement and disbursement, which was prepared in accordance with the Tenders and Auctions Regulation Law.

The Council also approved a draft resolution by the Minister of Environment and Climate Change to issue a guide to radiation practice in industrial radiography. The draft resolution will be posted on the Sharek platform for 10 days to allow for any comments and feedback. The draft resolution aims to protect against the dangers of radiation used in industrial radiography across various fields by establishing guidelines and regulations on how to meet national oversight requirements in this area.

The Council of Ministers decided to take the necessary measures to ratify a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business events between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Sierra Leone.

The Council also decided to approve a draft memorandum of understanding between the National Statistics Centre of the State of Qatar and the General Authority for Statistics of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for cooperation and exchange of expertise in the field of statistics, a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation on reforming public administration and enhancing its capabilities in the field of qualifying and developing human resources between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Kingdom of Morocco, and a draft memorandum of understanding between the Financial Information Unit of the State of Qatar and the Financial Information Unit of the State of Libya regarding cooperation in the field of combating money laundering crimes.

The Cabinet concluded its meeting by reviewing three reports and taking appropriate decisions regarding them. These included the first semi-annual report on the progress made in implementing the National Cybersecurity Strategy (2024-2030), a report on the results of the participation of the State of Qatar’s delegation, headed by the Minister of Labour, in the International Labour Market Conference, and a report on the results of the participation of the State of Qatar’s delegation, headed by the Minister of Public Health, in the Arab Health Conference and Exhibition 2025.
