The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD), in cooperation with the Government of Seychelles, has inaugurated a housing project in Glacis, Seychelles, aimed at improving living conditions of low-income families by providing safe and sustainable housing. This significant milestone highlights QFFD’s ongoing commitment to supporting vulnerable communities and promoting sustainable development through integrated housing solutions.

In a statement on Tuesday, the QFFD said that the Glacis Housing Project aims to significantly improve the living conditions of low-income families by providing them with dignified, safe, and sustainable housing. With a grant of USD 991,000 from QFFD, the project began in September 2023 and was successfully completed in January 2025. The project consists of 12 modern two-bedroom housing units and features a children’s playground and a volleyball court, fostering a dynamic and engaging community environment that enriches the residents’ quality of life. Additionally, its prime location near an elementary school and a nursery makes it an ideal choice for families, offering convenience and accessibility. (QNA) page 2
