The State of Qatar has strongly condemned the Israeli occupation forces’ bombing of several areas in the sisterly Syrian Arab Republic, considering it a blatant attack on the sovereignty and unity of Syria and a flagrant violation of international law.
In a statement Thursday, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs stressed the need for the international community to assume its legal and moral responsibilities to compel the Israeli occupation to comply with international legitimacy resolutions and stop repeated attacks on Syrian territory, to avoid further escalation and tension in the region.
The ministry reiterated the State of Qatar’s firm position in support of Syria’s sovereignty, independence, unity and territorial integrity, and expressed support for regional and international efforts aimed at establishing security and stability in Syria and achieving the aspirations of its brotherly people.
