TRIBUNE NEWS NETWORKDOHAThe Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), the World Health Organization (WHO), and the Supreme Committee for Delivery and Legacy have launched a photographic competition organised by the Qatar Foundation on Thursday The initiative invites health-related photos to be submitted for a photography exhibition named ‘Health Through My Lens’. The best images will be featured at a forthcoming exhibition at Oxygen Park, within Qatar Foundation’s Education City in Doha, in late October.A fundamental component of the photo show, which tries to highlight people’s unique interpretation of what health means to them, is displaying health through the varied lenses of participants of many nations and backgrounds. The competition expands on the MoPH, WHO, FIFA, and the Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy’s three-year cooperation, ‘Healthy FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM: Creating a legacy for sport and health,’ which promotes physical and mental health and serves as a model for future big sporting events.SUBMISSION DETAILSThe competition welcomes everyone interested in photography, amateur or professional, of any nationality residing in Qatar to submit images of health that they have taken personally.Each participant may submit up to three photos. Original photo entries must illustrate one or more of the four health promotion topics of the Healthy FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022TM: physical activity, nutrition and healthy diets, mental health, and tobacco control. Images must not contain any materials owned or controlled by a third party unless a license has been secured, and they must not violate any person’s or entity’s copyright, trademark, moral rights, privacy/publicity rights, or intellectual property rights. Participants of all ages are welcome to participate; however, anyone under the age of 16 must receive parental approval.The judging panel, comprised of MoPH and WHO health professionals, as well as experienced and amateur photographers, will choose 24 winning entries based on creativity, quality, originality, alignment with the topics, inclusion consideration, and overall effect.The online submission form will be available on Monday, August 22nd. All contributions must be made online through the MoPH website at https://sportandhealth.moph.gov.qa.The deadline for entries is September 15, 2022, at 11:59 pm.
