Qatar’s men’s handball team which won the gold medal at the Islamic Solidarity Games in Konya, Turkiye, on Sunday, was welcomed on arrival by officials and fans at the Hamad International Airport in Doha on Monday. Qatar beat hosts Turkey 26-23 in the final. Qatar are the only third country to win handball gold at the Games. Algeria won the gold in 2005 and Saudi Arabia won in 2017.
