QNACairoThe Coordinating Committee of the Technical Cooperation Program between the State of Qatar and the Arab League General Secretariat met for two days on Thursday at the Arab League’s headquarters in Cairo.Qatar’s team was led by Minister of Social Development and Family HE Maryam bint Ali bin Nasser Al Misnad, and the General Secretariat delegation was led by Assistant Secretary-General, Head of the Arab League’s Social Affairs Sector Ambassador Haifa Abu Ghazaleh.The meeting discussed the programs and initiatives to be implemented at the bilateral level within the sectors of social development and the family at the Arab and international levels. It reviewed the support that the General Secretariat can provide to support the sectors of family development, women, children, the elderly, people with disabilities, and productive families, in accordance with the best experiences and international development standards.Also, they discussed the international initiatives and multilateral cooperation programs, especially the joint work in the State of Qatar’s hosting of the fourth Global Disability Summit 2028. They touched on several global initiatives that have direct effects on raising the level of expertise and services provided by the Ministry of Social Development and Family.
