Frankfurt: Spanish defender Angeliño has joined Hoffenheim on an one-year loan from RB Leipzig, both Bundesliga clubs said on Monday. “The fact that a player of this level consciously and with full conviction chooses Hoffenheim, is something special and shows what kind of status we have earned in the meantime,” Hoffenheim sporting director Alexander Rosen said in a club’s statement. “Three weeks ago, it was not expected that I would wear the Hoffenheim jersey. Now I’m here and I’m really looking forward to it,” Angeliño said, adding that he almost joined the club in 2020. (dpa)
