The Ministry of Environment and Climate Change used a statute intended to protect plant ecology and ecosystems to take into custody a trailer truck that got stuck in an unpaved surface in Qatar.

The area, whose location has not been made public, is described by the ministry as ecologically sensitive and important to preserving Qatar’s wild flora. The truck became stranded in the area after the recent rain made the surface soft and mushy. No reason is provided as to why the truck was in the area.

The seizure was made by the ministry’s Environmental Monitoring Patrols, using Law No 32 of 1995.

Necessary legal measures have been taken following the violation of the law, the ministry said in a tweet on Saturday.
