Champions and top-seeded Spanish pair of Juan Lebron and Alejandro Galan survived a scare against Argentinains Federico Chingotto and Juan Tello on their way to the semi-finals of the Madrid Premier Padel P1 tournament in Madrid on Thursday. Treating a vociferous crowd to great thrills, the Spaniards rallied from being a set down to overcome their opponents 2-6, 6-4, 6-4. Down 0-2 in the second set, Lebron and Galan fought gallantly and showed patience including when a VAR review of a shot that was though to be a double from Lebron was cleared in their favour, much to the delight of the home crowd. Levelling scores at 3-3, the Spaniards went on to claim the set and eventaully the match with a lucky service point that bounced over the net. The other quarter-finals were on at the time of going to the press. (TNN)
