Attempt to smuggle in hashish in spare parts shipment foiled

Inspectors at Postal Consignments Customs Department at the Air Cargo and Private Airports have foiled an attempt to smuggle hashish into Qatar.Hashish weighing 280 grams has been seized from a consignment of spare parts. The contraband was stuffed inside iron tubes inside the parts, the General Authority of Customs said.In a tweet, the General Authority of Customs said, “The inspectors of the Postal Consignments Customs Department at the Air Cargo and Private Airports Customs administration thwarted the smuggling of 280 gms of narcotic hashish inside the tubes for a shipment of iron spare parts.” (TNN)
