Paris: More than four months after the death of imprisoned Corsican separatist Yvan Colonna, the case continues to cause a stir in France. The 61-year-old, who was in prison for the murder of top Corsican official Claude Érignac in 1998, was attacked by another inmate and died in March. As a result, disciplinary proceedings were recently opened against a warden at the prison in Arles, on the southern French mainland. That has stoked anger among the prison staff, who argue that investigators are trying to make the warden a scapegoat for the fiasco. In protest, about 100 guards blocked access to the prison on Thursday, according to media reports.
