tribune news networkdohaThe Joint Committee for the Removal of Abandoned Vehicles in the country continues its intensive efforts to remove abandoned cars, equipment and machinery from various municipalities in coordination with the concerned authorities. The committee’s efforts resulted in the removal of 1,571 vehicles, including 937 cars that were transferred to the scrap yard in Al Wakra and 610 transferred to Umm Salal scrap facility. From July 1 to 26, 2022, a total of 1,571 vehicles were disposed of, either by sale, destruction, return to the owner or others, and the total sales proceed during this period amounted to QR950,500. The number of vehicles sold through Qatar auction reached 393 vehicles in recent months, with a total amount of QR3,262,995.
