Qatar players during a training session at the Khalifa International Stadium on Sunday, ahead of their last Group A match against India at the Asian Cup 2027 and FIFA World Cup 2026 joint qualifiers. The match will be played at Jassim Bin Hamad Stadium on Tuesday. The two-time Asian champions, who are leading the group with 13 points, have already advanced but India (5 points), Afghanistan (5) and Kuwait (4) all stand a chance to finish runners-up to reach the third round of the World Cup qualifiers as well as book their berth in the Asian Cup. Kuwait will host Afghanistan at the Sabah Al Salem Stadium in their last group match, also to be played on Tuesday.
