The Qatar Ports Management Company (Mwani Qatar) announced Tuesday that it received 117,317 TEUs (twenty-foot equivalent units) and 65,172 tonnes of general cargo in July, a 1 percent year-on-year growth rate.

In a statement on its official Twitter account, Mwani Qatar stated that the number of ships it received reached 241 while cars and equipment recorded 7,179 units, a growth rate of 30 percent compared to July 2021. The number of livestock was 14,627. The building and construction materials recorded 28,634 tonnes.

Mwani Qatar is responsible for managing the ports and maritime transport terminals in the State of Qatar, in addition to its management of berths, dry ports and container terminals. It is also involved in the development of seaports and related services in accordance with global standards.
