DOHA: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning for strong winds and high waves expected in some maritime areas, alongside forecasts of hot to very hot weather along the coast.

Coastal winds will blow from the northwest to northeast at speeds of 5 to 15 knots, with gusts potentially reaching 24 knots during the day. At sea, winds will predominantly be northwesterly at speeds ranging from 8 to 18 knots, with gusts up to 23 knots in certain areas.

Visibility on both the coast and at sea is anticipated to range between 5 and 10 kilometers. Coastal wave heights will vary between one and four feet, possibly rising to five feet, while offshore wave heights are expected to range from two to five feet, with peaks up to seven feet in some areas.

The highest temperature forecasted in Doha is 44 degrees Celsius, underscoring the intense heat expected.

Residents and maritime operators are advised to take necessary precautions due to the harsh weather conditions.
