DOHA: The Meteorology Department issued a cautionary notice today, highlighting the likelihood of intense wind and elevated sea conditions in the region.

According to the department's daily weather report, Thursday's weather forecast indicates hot temperatures inland, accompanied by intermittent dust in some areas during the daytime. Additionally, scattered clouds are expected, potentially leading to sporadic light rainfall.

Offshore conditions are also projected to feature mild dust and scattered clouds, with a possibility of light rain. However, the report emphasized the anticipation of strong winds and high seas intermittently.

Inland winds are predicted to range from southeasterly to easterly, blowing at speeds of 6 to 16 knots and occasionally gusting up to 24 knots during the day. Offshore, wind directions are forecasted to be easterly to southeasterly, with speeds ranging from 8 to 18 knots and gusts reaching up to 24 knots intermittently.

Sea states are anticipated to be moderately rough, with inland waters expected to see waves ranging from 2 to 4 feet, while offshore areas may experience waves between 3 to 5 feet, rising to 8 feet at times.

Visibility levels are anticipated to range from 4 to 8 kilometers inland and 5 to 9 kilometers offshore.

Residents and maritime operators are advised to exercise caution and adhere to safety protocols in light of the expected weather conditions.
