DOHA: Residents of Doha are advised to brace themselves for a day of relatively hot weather combined with strong winds as per the latest forecast by the Department of Meteorology.

Inshore conditions are expected to be characterised by daytime heat, with intermittent episodes of slight to moderate dust, potentially escalating to blowing dust in some areas. Nighttime temperatures are projected to remain mild. Additionally, the meteorological department has issued a cautionary notice regarding anticipated strong winds intermittently affecting various locations throughout the day.

Offshore regions are expected to experience fair weather conditions, although the presence of strong winds and high seas has been highlighted in the report. Wind patterns are forecasted to be northwesterly, ranging in speed from 12 to 22 knots inland, with occasional gusts reaching up to 32 knots. By evening, wind speeds are anticipated to decrease to 5 to 15 knots. Offshore wind speeds are expected to mirror those inland, with speeds ranging from 12 to 25 knots and gusts up to 33 knots.

Visibility may be reduced to 5 to 10 kilometers inland, occasionally dropping to even lower levels. Offshore visibility is predicted to be between 4 to 8 kilometers.

Sea conditions are also expected to be affected, with inshore waves reaching heights of 3 to 5 feet, while offshore waves may surge to heights of 5 to 8 feet, potentially escalating to 11 feet.

Residents are advised to exercise caution, especially while commuting or engaging in maritime activities, and to stay updated with the latest weather advisories throughout the day.
