The Police Academy team, represented by the Police College, emerged victorious in the National Universities Debating Championship in Arabic by outshining the Qatar University (QU) team in the final round. The championship, which focused on discussing dramatic works involving historical figures and events, was organised by QatarDebate Center at Education City.

The winning team comprised students Ammer Al Ansari, Saeed Al Qahtani, and Mohammed Al Nasser. The Qatar University (QU) team, securing second place, included students Mohammed Al Yafei, Mohammed Farag, and Abdullah Al Shammari. In third place was another Qatar University team consisting of Al Dana Al Hajri, Asmahan Al Kuwari, and Al Maha Al Badr.

Shaima Abu Talib from Lusail University was awarded the title of the best speaker of the championship. Mohammed Al Yafei from QU secured the second-best speaker position, while Mohammed Abdulnabi Farag from QU clinched the third-best speaker title.

The National Universities Debating Championship in Arabic is part of the local leagues organised by QatarDebate between universities. It aligns with the centre’s mission to address pivotal issues and cultivate dialogue skills among students.

In terms of awards, QU secured first and second place in the debate league, with Doha University securing third place. Moza Al Hajri from Georgetown University was recognized as the best speaker, followed by Abdullah Mahran and Abdullah Al Kubaisi from Qatar University.

The National Universities Debating Championship in Arabic marks the conclusion of the debate league.
