Qatar Chamber First Vice-Chairman Mohamed bin Twar Al Kuwari, met with Jonathan Reynolds, Shadow Secretary of State for Business and Trade of the United Kingdom (UK) at the Chamber’s venue on Tuesday.

The meeting discussed bilateral economic and commercial relation between both countries and ways to enhance them, investment climate and opportunities in both sides and ways to strengthen cooperation between Qatar and UK business sectors.

During the meeting, Reynolds hailed the advanced infrastructure in Qatar and its attractive investment environment, stressing his country’s keenness to improve economic ties with Qatar to higher levels.

On his part, Twar said Qatar and the UK share strong and developed relations across all fields, emphasizing that the UK is a significant trade partner to Qatar.

He also emphasized the Qatari private sector’s keen interest in strengthening cooperation with its British counterpart through the establishment of commercial alliances and partnerships across various sectors. He underscored that Qatari investors are eager to explore opportunities available in the UK, a prominent destination for investment.

Twar further emphasized the importance of establishing joint enterprises and projects between Qatari and British companies that achieve added value to the Qatari economy, particularly in sectors such as petrochemicals, services, technology, tourism, and others.
