The Indonesian Embassy in Qatar, led by Ambassador HE Ridwan Hassan, is set to host the first Indonesian Education Fair 2024 in Doha on May 11 and 12.

Taking place at the Al Mass Hall, City Centre Rotana Hotel, the event, organised by Limitless Global Foundation, seeks to equip students in Qatar with insights into the myriad educational opportunities available in Indonesia.

Targeted at individuals aged 16 and above, the two-day exhibition is set to attract a diverse audience, including students, parents, educational counsellors, school administrators, career advisors and professionals seeking to further their academic pursuits.

Positioned as a pivotal event for students, educators and career-minded individuals, the fair will also serve as a platform to foster educational collaboration and cultural exchange between Qatar and Indonesia.

According to the organisers, attendees can expect an extensive showcase of academic programmes and study opportunities from esteemed universities and educational institutions across Indonesia.

The exhibition will feature a series of seminars, workshops, and a plethora of academic and professional avenues, showcasing the participation of various Indonesian universities and educational entities.

The primary goal of the expo is to furnish attendees with comprehensive insights to facilitate informed decisions regarding their academic and career trajectories. Moreover, the event will offer valuable opportunities for working professionals seeking to pursue graduate programmes or scholarships, with prestigious Indonesian universities extending tuition assistance.

Commenting on the event, Ambassador Hassan said their target is to open the doors to students in Qatar to have a bright future.

He expressed a strong desire to encourage learners to explore educational opportunities beyond the confines of traditional universities, advocating for broader exploration and consideration of diverse learning institutions, stressing that each country offers unique learning opportunities, contributing distinct perspectives and insights to one’s education.

Ali Murtado, first secretary at the Indonesian Embassy, announced the availability of two distinct scholarship opportunities: the DermaSiswa degree scholarship, offering a comprehensive two-year study programme in Indonesian culture, and the Art and Culture Scholarship, an undergraduate-level scholarship focused on immersive cultural exploration.

He added that there are more scholarships for Qatari students offered by the universities in Indonesia.

He pointed out that significant milestone had been achieved with a commendable 2,000 Indonesian students currently residing in Qatar.

Murtado said this marked a promising commencement in the collaborative efforts with the Qatari government.
