The Indian Community Benevolent Forum (ICBF) has announced that its upcoming event, ‘Rang Tarang 2024’ , to mark Labour Day, will be held at Asian Town Cricket Stadium parking area from on May 10, 5pm to 10pm.

With a focus on health care, welfare, education, and community engagement, ICBF has played a crucial role in providing assistance to such people through various community welfare initiatives.

These include:

ICBF insurance: Providing community welfare through insurance schemes.

Youth welfare: Supporting programmes and initiatives benefiting youth.

Jail visits: Offering support and assistance to individuals in correctional facilities.

Legal cell assistance: Providing legal aid and guidance to those in need.

Fishermen welfare: Supporting the welfare and rights of fishermen.

Labour welfare: Advocating for and assisting labourers in Qatar.

Community awareness: Promoting awareness on critical issues within the community.

Repatriation/medical & blood donation camps: Organising camps and initiatives for repatriation, medical care, and blood donation.

Domestic Workers Welfare: Supporting and advocating for the welfare of domestic workers.

‘Rang Tarang 2024’ promises to be a vibrant and culturally rich fiesta showcasing a variety of programmes for Indian blue-collar employees and performed by associate organisations of ICBF, as well as various Indian cultural groups in Qatar. Ambassador of India to Qatar His Excellency Vipul will be the chief guest of the event. The event will be graced by esteemed officials including representatives from the Indian Embassy, Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, International Labour Organisation (ILO), National Human Rights Committee (NHRC), and eminent personalities from both Qatar and Indian communities.

Highlighting the occasion, ICBF will honour 40 exceptional individuals who have dedicated over three decades of their lives as low-income employees in Qatar. This recognition underscores ICBF’s deep appreciation for their unwavering commitment and valuable contributions to the nation’s progress.

The press meet held at ICBF Kanjani Hall, was attended by ICBF President Shanavas Bava, Advisory Board Chairman SAM Basheer, Former ICBF President & Program Committee Chairman P N Baburajan, ICBF Vice President Deepak Shetty and General Secretary Varkey Boban.

To nominate long-term serving low income earning workers for recognition at the event, ICBF has invites community members to submit nominations by today (May 5, 2024).Nominations should include details such as the nominee’s name, period of residency in Qatar, nature of work, and a brief description.
