DOHA: The Public Transport Security Department at the Ministry of Interior conducted a mock drill on Friday, simulating an obstacle on the tram track in the Msheirebarea at Intersection 10,11.
The exercise aimed to enhance coordination among the participating entities, assess their readiness, and review the procedures taken to secure the Qatari railways (Rail).
Lieutenant Nasser Abdullah Al-Shammari, the exercise officer from the Public Transport Security Department, explained that the exercise was part of a series of simulations and scenarios agreed upon by the participating entities in the emergency exercise schedule for the Msheirebtram for the current year.
The Operations Department of the General Directorate of Civil Defence, General Directorate of Traffic, Capital Security Department, Rescue Police Department (Al-Fazaa), Central Operations Department, along with the Ambulance Service at Hamad Medical Corporation, Qatar Rail, and RKH Company, the operator of the Doha Metro participated in the exercise.
