DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Palestine HE Dr Muhammad Mustafa, accompanied by Minister of State for International Cooperation at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, visited wounded Palestinians who are receiving treatment at Sidra Medicine, as part of the initiative of His Highness the Amir to treat 1,500 Palestinians from the Gaza Strip.

The Palestinian Prime Minister saidthat during his visit he was reassured about the health of the wounded, and came away with the impression that “the State of Qatar is doing more than it should in caring for Palestinian patients from the Gaza Strip and providing treatment for them.” He pointedto the difficult conditions in which these patients lived before they arrived in Qatar.

He said he found some of the patients accompanied by their families and are in a better health and social situation.

Dr Mustafa thanked Qatar for its greatefforts in protecting and caring for the wounded in the Gaza Strip, and hoped that the day would come when “we return some of the favour for what the State of Qatar provides to our wounded.”

He also praised the steadfastnessof the Palestinian people even in situations of loss and injury during the ongoing war in the Strip.
