Qatar hosted the eighth meeting of the Board of Directors of the GCC Customs Union Authority, an event attended by the heads of GCC customs authorities, on Tuesday.
Chairman of the General Authority of Customs Ahmed bin Abdullah Al Jamal took part in the meeting, along with several directors of the Authority’s departments.
The agenda included following up on projects to complete the requirements for establishing the GCC Customs Union Authority, the regulations of the Common Customs Law of the GCC States and the strategy of the Customs Union Authority. The meeting also deliberated the minutes and reports of committees and technical teams as well as other topics on the agenda.
The gathering is part of the GCC Customs Union Authority’s regular meetings aimed at bolstering intra-GCC customs cooperation.
