There are chances of thundershowers and sudden winds in the country, starting fromTuesday night, reaching their peak on Wednesday and Thursday, according to Qatar Meteorological Department (QMD).
The QMD said the latest satellite images show that the country is beginning to be affected by low air pressure, with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions from Tuesday, and over the weekend.
“There are chances of rain, sometimes thundery, reaching its peak on Wednesday evening until Thursday daytime, to be between moderate to heavy in intensity and accompanied by sudden strong wind at times. It may cause dust to rise in some areas,” it added.
The QMD has called on everyone to be cautious and follow safety guidelines during thunderstorms and stressed the importance of receiving information from official sources.
