DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani discussed in a telephone call withPresident of the Arab Republic of Egypt HEAbdel Fattah Al-Sisi, the developments of the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and joint mediation efforts in order to reach an immediate and permanent ceasefire agreement in Gaza, the release of prisoners and detainees, and the sustainable entry of humanitarian aid into all areas of the Strip.
During the call made by His Highness Amir, the two leaders stressed the need to intensify mediation efforts during the next stage, in cooperation with all regional and international partners, to end the war on the Gaza Strip and put an end to the suffering of civilians.
During the call, bilateral relations and ways to develop them were also discussed, in addition to several regional and international issues.
