DOHA: Qatar Meteorology Department has said there are chances of thundershowers andstrong sudden winds starting on Tuesday, reaching their peak on Wednesday and Thursday.
The Met department said thelatest satellite images show that the country is beginning to be affected by low air pressure, with partly cloudy to cloudy conditions from Tuesday, and over the weekend.
"Opportunities arise for rain, sometimes thundery, reaching its peak on Wednesday evening until Thursday daytime, to be between moderate to heavy in intensity and accompanied by sudden strong wind at times, It may cause dust to rise in some areas," the Met department said.
TheCivil Aviation Authority (Meteorological Department) has called on everyone to be cautious and follow safety guidelines during thunderstorms and stressed the importance of receiving information from official sources.
