Gaza aid pier to become operational in two-three weeks, says White House

The White House has said a US-made pier it says will boost aid to Gaza will become operational in a few weeks.

“It will take probably two to three weeks before we can really see an operation,” White House national security spokesman John Kirby said on ABC News.

Kirby said that while the pier will bring more food and other essentials into Gaza, it has limits.

“Nothing can replace the ground routes and the trucks that are getting in,” Kirby said. (Agencies)
