DOHA: The Department of Meteorology has forecasted relatively hot weather for today in Doha, accompanied by hazy to misty conditions in certain areas, as stated in its daily weather report.

Inshore, the day is expected to commence with hazy to misty conditions, gradually transitioning to relatively hot weather during the daytime, with scattered clouds dotting the sky. Offshore, a similar pattern is anticipated, with the weather starting hazy to misty and evolving into partly cloudy skies at times.

Wind conditions are predicted to be mainly easterly-southeasterly inshore, blowing at speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots, occasionally gusting up to 24 knots in certain areas. Offshore, the wind is initially variable but is expected to shift to mainly northeasterly-southeasterly, with speeds ranging from 5 to 15 knots and gusts up to 20 knots at times.

Visibility may be reduced in some areas, with inshore visibility ranging from 5 to 9 kilometers or less initially, and offshore visibility starting at 4 to 8 kilometers or less.

Regarding sea conditions, the sea state inshore is expected to be relatively calm, with waves reaching heights of 1 to 2 feet. Offshore, the sea state may be slightly more turbulent, with waves ranging from 2 to 4 feet, occasionally rising to 6 feet.

Residents and visitors are advised to take necessary precautions, such as staying hydrated and seeking shade during the daytime heat, as well as exercising caution while driving due to potentially reduced visibility. Offshore activities should also be approached with awareness of changing wind and sea conditions.

Stay tuned to further updates from the Department of Meteorology for any changes in the weather forecast throughout the day.
