DOHA: The Ministry of Interior in collaboration with the US Department of Homeland Security's Human Trafficking Center (Regional Training in the Middle East) concluded atraining workshop on combating human trafficking on Tuesday.

The workshop, which lasted for two days, was attended by 50 officers from various departments of the Ministry of Interior to address and discuss issues related to combating human trafficking and providing participants with the opportunity to acquire more skills and experiences in this field.

The workshop covered several topics, including understanding the strategies and techniques of human trafficking, investigation methods for suspected trafficking crimes, basics of victim assistance, and the use of digital evidence to support investigations.

Following the workshop, Brigadier Abdullah Saqr Al-Muhannadi, Director of the Human Rights Department at the Ministry of Interior, honoured the workshop lecturers and presented certificates to all participants, expressing gratitude for their great efforts over the past two days and for sharing their experiences with the participants.

Colonel Naif Mohammed Al-Mana'i, Director of the Police Officers Institute at the Police Academy, stated that this workshop meets the requirements of the Ministry of Interior regarding human trafficking issues. He explained that the US Department of Homeland Security's Human Trafficking Center is internationally renowned and has a good reputation in the field of training, contributing significantly to enriching the workshop.
