Qatar sees rise in aircraft movements, number of passengers in March

DOHA: Qatar witnessed an increase in aircraft movements and the number of passengers in March, the Civil Aviation Authority(CAA) has said.

"Preliminary air transport statistics for March 2024 indicate an increase in aircraft movements of 18.7 percent compared to the same month last year. The number of passengers also increased by 21.4 percent compared to March 2023," CAA said in a social media post on Monday.

During March this year, Qatar's airports have witnessed 23,227 aircraft movements while 4.270 million passengers have used the facilities.

With 228,294 tonnes, air cargo and mail also showed an increase of 10.7 percent compared to the same month of 2023.
