The Social and Sport Contribution Fund (DAAM) has officially partnered with Qatar Scientific Club, an affiliate of the Ministry of Sports and Youth (MoSY), to fund its 16th School Robotic Competition. This annual event aims to cultivate and nurture local talent in robotics, in cooperation with the Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE).

The agreement reflects DAAM’s commitment, along with joint-stock companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange, to support events aligned with development and sustainability objectives in line with Qatar National Vision 2030.

Scheduled to take place at the Lusail Multi-Purpose Sports Hall from April 21 to 23, 2024, the competition anticipates over 2,000 students from 650 teams — an impressive 35 percent increase from previous editions. This surge underscores the growing interest in robotics and software technology, showcasing students’ abilities to analyse challenges and devise innovative solutions.

The competition aims to foster creativity and provide a competitive platform for students to showcase and enhance their skills. It also aims to build a team capable of representing Qatar in local, regional, and international robotics championships.

This partnership signifies a new milestone for the 16th School Robotic Competition, promising an exciting celebration of innovation and excellence.

Since its establishment in 2010, DAAM and the joint-stock companies listed on the Qatar Stock Exchange have played a significant role in supporting numerous projects and initiatives across Qatar’s cultural, sports, and social sectors.
