DOHA: Chairperson of Qatar Foundation HH Sheikha Moza bint Nasser has thanked people who participated in the 'Eid Gift' campaign for the children of Gaza.
'Your gift put a smile on their faces this Eid. We pray for our brothers and sisters in Gaza. May God protect them and grant them victory,' Sheikha Moza said in a social media post.
Under the leadership of Sheikha Moza and in partnership with Qatar Red Crescent Society, the Education Above All Foundation said it delivered over 13,800 packages, comprising 40,000 plus clothes and2,200 shoes, ensuring every child in need experienced the joy of Eid.
In collaboration with partners, the Eid Gift drive sought to rebuild hope for Gaza’s children by providing clothing and basic materialsIn a concerted effort to find immediate and practical solutions for providing humanitarian support in the Gaza Strip, and on the initiative of Sheikha Moza bint Nasser, Chairperson of Education Above All Foundation (EAA), EAA announced the launch of the ‘Keswet Al Eid’ campaign for children in Gaza on the 24th day of Ramadan.
The programme was carried out in partnership with the Qatar Red Crescent Society, Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque for Women, and Minaretein Mosque. The collection points were at Al-Mujadilah Center and Mosque for Women and Minaretein Mosque, Education City.
