DOHA: With heavy rainfall and strong winds anticipated, authorities are urging caution across various sectors in Qatar.

The Ministry of Interior has issued a stern warning to seagoers, advising them to refrain from all coastal and sea activities to prioritise safety.

In a social media announcement, the Ministry emphasised the paramount importance of safety, stating, "Your safety matters to us."

Additionally, drivers were cautioned to exercise increased vigilance and adhere strictly to safety protocols when navigating through adverse weather conditions such as wind, rain, and dust.

Simultaneously, the Ministry of Labour has called upon employers to exercise prudence and diligence in light of the anticipated weather disruptions.

Employers are urged to adhere rigorously to occupational health and safety guidelines and to furnish necessary protective measures to ensure the well-being of workers in their respective workplaces.

The Meteorological Department earlier issued a stern warning of thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and reduced visibility along the coast and at sea from Monday to Wednesday.
