DOHA: Brace yourselves as the Meteorological Department has issueda stern warning of impending thunderstorms accompanied by strong winds and reduced visibility along the coast and at sea.

Similarly, maritime regions will witness scattered clouds transitioning into dusty and rainy conditions, culminating in thunderstorms.

Northeasterly to southeasterly winds along the coast, blowing between 20 and 35 knots, with gusts peaking at 50 knots during thunderstorms, are anticipated. At sea, wind directions will be variable, predominantly southeasterly to northeasterly, ranging from 6 to 16 knots initially, escalating to 20 to 30 knots during thunderstorms, with gusts hitting 50 knots.

Horizontal visibility is expected to diminish to a range of 3 to 7 kilometers, plummeting to one kilometer or less in certain areas during thunderstorms, both along the coast and at sea.

Wave heights are projected to surge along the coast, ranging from 2 to 4 feet, spiking to 5 feet during thunderstorms. Meanwhile, at sea, waves will vary from 2 to 4 feet initially, but some areas may experience heights between 7 and 16 feet during thunderstorms.

Doha residents are advised to exercise caution and remain indoors if possible. The maximum temperature in Doha is expected to reach 31 degrees Celsius amidst these turbulent weather conditions.
