DOHA: His Highness the Amir of the State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani has received a phone call from His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
They reviewed the fraternal relations between the two countries and ways to support and enhance them, in addition to discussing developments in the situation in the regional and international arenas. His Highness the Amir and President of the UAE stressed the need to reduce all forms of escalation and avoid expanding the conflict in the region.
They also stressed the importance of a ceasefire in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories to achieve a permanent and final solution to the Palestinian issue and lasting and comprehensive peace in the region.
