BerlincTypeface:> Augsburg and Cologne took one point each after playing out a 1-1 Bundesliga draw on Easter Sunday. Augsburg scored the opener in the 18th minute after the ball fell at the feet of Arne Maier following a succession of single-touch passes. He then delivered a deadly finish into the net. But Cologne didn’t take long to react and Davie Selke completed a quick counter-attack in the 33rd to level. Augsburg almost immediately restored their lead with Kristijan Jakic heading a corner towards the goal in the 36th, but goalkeeper Marvin Schwäbe sent the ball away. Hosts Augsburg started the second half pushing for a second goal, but it was Cologne who almost snatched the lead in the 65th, but Jan Thielmann’s effort was deflected just wide of the post. (dpa)
