DOHA: The sites for distributing Iftar meals affiliated with the General Administration of Endowments at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs are witnessing a great demand.
Iftar meals are distributed this year in six regions of the country: Umm Ghuwailina (Council Cooperation Signals), Ibn Mahmoud (Jaidah Bridge), Musheireb near Al-Asmakh Mosque, Ibn Imran (Eid prayer hall), Al-Aziziyah (Eid prayer hall), and Al-Rayyan (Eid prayer hall).
The General Administration of Endowments explained that the distribution of meals in the Al-Rayyan and Al-Aziziyah sites amounts to 2,400 meals per day, as the supervisors of the two sites distribute the meals well before the sunset call to prayer, through the “Iftar Fasting Endowment” project, one of the projects of the Endowment Bank for righteousness and piety.
The General Administration of Endowments has allocated equipped places to be prepared to receive fasting people and distribute various Iftar meals to them in an easy manner, taking into account security and safety requirements, as in these two locations in the Eid prayer halls.
The General Administration of Endowments was keen to choose the best restaurants specialized in preparing meals, and required that restaurants adhere to health measures and requirements on the one hand, and that the meals be diverse, environmentally friendly, and can be recycled. The administration also attaches importance to supervising the preparation of meals in these restaurants by its supervisors to ensure compliance with requirements.
The sites for distributing Iftar meals for those who are fasting are supervised by supervisors who have experience and knowledge of this humanitarian charitable work, especially supervising the organization and distribution of meals, and providing all the requirements and services that those who are fasting need.
The Fasting Iftar Project is one of the humanitarian initiatives of the General Administration of Endowments, which aims to strengthen community partnership and serve the segments of society during the holy month in order to fulfill the conditions of the honorable donors and fulfill the slogan “The Endowment is a Community Partnership,” and to provide assistance to those fasting in the blessed month of Ramadan by providing a healthy and varied breakfast to those who are fasting. They are guests at breakfast tables.
The project of Iftar tables for fasting people at the General Administration of Endowments this year generally aims to break the fast for thousands of fasting people daily, distributed among tent Iftar sites and meal distribution sites, all with the generous support of the donors and blessed contributions from the benevolent people, whom we pray to God to be among those for whom the rooms were prepared on the Day of Resurrection as well. It was stated in the noble Prophetic hadith, “Indeed, there is a room in Paradise, the outside of which can be seen from its inside and its inside from its outside. God prepared it for those who fed food, spoke slowly, continued fasting, and prayed while the people were asleep.”
The General Administration of Endowments receives contributions from donors and philanthropists, to support Iftar sites for those who are fasting, distribute meals, and cover their cost in order to gain reward, raise ranks in the month of good deeds, and multiply good deeds, whether by covering the expenses of an entire tent or contributing according to ability. And God multiplies for whomever He wishes, especially in the Holy Month of Ramadan.
