DOHA: The Meteorological Department has issued a warning regarding anticipated strong winds and high waves at sea, urging caution for coastal activities on Wednesday. Residents are advised to stay updated on weather conditions and take necessary precautions.

According to the Meteorological Department's forecast, the coastal regions are expected to experience moderate temperatures during the day, accompanied by some clouds and light dust. However, as night falls, the weather is anticipated to become relatively cold. At sea, the conditions will be similar, with the presence of some clouds.

Winds along the coast are forecasted to blow from the northwesterly to westerly direction, with speeds ranging between 6 and 16 knots. In certain areas, gusts could reach up to 25 knots intermittently. At sea, the winds will predominantly be from the northwesterly direction, with speeds ranging between 15 and 25 knots. Gusts might escalate to 30 knots at times.

Horizontal visibility along the coast is estimated to be between 5 and 9 kilometers, while at sea, it ranges from 4 to 8 kilometers.

The height of waves along the coast is expected to be between 3 and 5 feet, while at sea, it will range from 4 to 8 feet, occasionally reaching up to 10 feet.

In Doha, the highest temperature expected is 27 degrees Celsius.

Residents and maritime users are urged to exercise caution, particularly those venturing into the sea. Small craft should avoid heading out into open waters during this period due to the potentially hazardous conditions.

Authorities advise staying tuned to official weather updates and adhering to safety guidelines to mitigate any risks associated with the predicted weather conditions.

Stay safe and informed.
