The College of Health Sciences (CHS) at Qatar University (QU) honoured 217 of its outstanding female students with a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher in the Spring 2023 and Fall 2023 semesters during an annual Dean’s List students honouring ceremony.

The ceremony was held in the presence of families of the outstanding students.

The ceremony witnessed a wide attendance, including CHS Dean Dr Hanan Abdul Rahim, Assistant Vice-President for Academic Quality and Strategy Dr Mohamed Ahmedna, CHS Assistant Dean for Academic Affairs Dr Layla Kamareddine, department heads and several faculty and administrative staff members in the college.

Eman Al Muhannadi, the host of the ceremony and a student in the Department of Biomedical Sciences, welcomed the guests with opening remarks, followed by a welcome speech from CHS dean.

The ceremony also included speeches from the families of the students whose names were on the list, expressing their joy at this academic achievement, followed by the distribution of Dean’s List medals in honour of students’ efforts and academic success.

Dr Abdul Rahim said, “I am very proud of the high-quality programmes the college offers, the efficiency of which the health sector attests to, and I am confident that the close cooperation between members of the teaching and student bodies is the main reason supporting these academic achievements. Congratulations to all our students who earned a place on the Dean’s List.”
