DOHA: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH), represented by the Department of Healthcare Professions, has announced a temporary administrative closure of a health facility in addition to taking the necessary legal action against it for detecting violations related to hiring four health practitioners before completing the procedures of obtaining their professional licences and allow them to practise health professions in Qatar.

The ministry has stressed that health facilities must adhere to health laws and avoid hiring health practitioners before completing their necessary professional licences. Health practitioners also must adhere to the regulating laws related to the fields of specialization, and the ethics of the professions they practise.

The ministry has stated that the inspection and monitoring visits carried out by the ministry aim to ensure compliance with the regulating laws, improve the quality of health care and ensure patient safety.

The public can check the types of professional licences granted to health practitioners viahttps://dhp.moph.gov.qa/en/Pages/SearchPractitionersPage.aspx.
