DOHA: Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HESheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani hasreceived Martin Griffiths, United Nations Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator, who isvisiting the country.
The meeting reviewed the latest developments in the situation in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories, and ways to strengthen regional and international efforts for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza and to facilitate the entry of humanitarian aid into the Strip without obstacles were discussed.
The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s emphasis on the importance of the role of the United Nations in supporting efforts aimed at confronting the worsening humanitarian catastrophe in Gaza and putting an end to the suffering of the Palestinian people.
