Filipinos have been making waves in the international music scene, with 16 Pinoy music artists featured at the recently concluded Beethoven’s Symphony No. 9 concert at the Al Mayassa Theatre of Qatar National Convention Centre (QNCC).

The Filipino performers who took part in the event are from three different choirs including The Doha Singers, Maharlikans Vocal Ensemble, and Qatar Concert Choir.

The musical show, hosted by the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra (QPO), celebrated 200 years of the world-famous Ludwig van Beethoven’s masterpiece with singers from all over the world.

According to Dr. Rosanna Millar Barrera, one of the Filipino singers who performed in the concert, all of them had their rehearsals at Katara Opera House with QPO, a few days before the event.

A dentist, chef and a recording artist of Vehnee Saturno Music Talent-Advocacy Global Studios, Dr. Barrera has been part of The Doha Singers since 2017. Her team is also gearing up for another concert in May this year.
