DOHA: Suleiman Jumaan Al-Qahtani, Director of the Mosques Department at the Ministry of Endowments and Islamic Affairs, has confirmed that the Ministry attaches great importance to activating the role of the mosque and its preaching message and enhancing its positive role in society. This is because it contributes to the advancement and cohesion of society, through cohesion and interconnectedness and through words of guidance and guidance to adhere to the morals of our Islamic religion with a correct understanding and a moderate approach.

This came during the regular meeting of officials of the Mosque Administration, which was attended by the Director of the Mosque Administration, the Assistant Director, and department heads in the administration, along with the imams and muezzins, numbering more than 3,100 imams and muezzins, which was held over two days at the Imam Muhammad bin Abdul Wahhab Mosque.

The Director of the Mosques Department explained during the meeting that the imam and the muezzin have a great position in Islam and are entrusted with a sublime mission, because it is a noble religious message and it upholds and elevates the rituals of the true religion.

Al-Qahtani urged all imams and muezzins to exert their efforts in serving society and to play their vital role in advising, educating and raising awareness of worshipers, spreading goodness, tolerance and the sciences of pure Islamic law among members of society, and guiding them with kind words and moderate religious guidance, in a way that contributes to strengthening human values ​​and virtuous morals among all segments of society.
