The Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MoCI), in cooperation with Skyline Automotive, Qatar’s Hyundai dealership, has announced the recall of Hyundai Tucson, 2021-2023 models, as some vehicles may experience a problem with twisted left or right CAB (Curtain Airbag Module) due to part condition issue.

The ministry, in cooperation with Mannai Trading Co. W.L.L, Qatar’s Subaru dealership, has also recalled of Subaru WRX/STI, 2018-2021 models, as spare tire may not bear the vehicle’s weight as it does not meet manufacturer’s specifications.

The ministry, in cooperation with Mannai Trading Company W.L.L, Qatar’s Cadillac dealership, also recalled of CADILLAC BLS, 2006-2009 models, over a possible defect in the airbag control module, which may cause incorrect airbag deployment.

The ministry said the recalls campaign come within the framework of its ongoing efforts to protect consumers and ensure that car dealers follow up on vehicle defects and repairs.

The ministry said that it will coordinate with the dealer to follow up on the maintenance and repair works and will communicate with customers to ensure that the necessary repairs are carried out.

The ministry urged all customers to report any violations to its Consumer Protection and Anti-Commercial Fraud Department, which processes complaints, inquiries and suggestions through Call Centre: 16001, email: [email protected], social media channels @mociqatar and mobile application available on iPhone and Android devices MOCIQatar
