The competitions of the 2024 Qatar Olympic Committee Ramadan Tournament, which runs from17th to 26th of March, were kicked off at the Lusail Shooting Range on Sunday, with participation of QOC employees and their families.

The tournament’s opening day saw strong competition in Air gun shooting. A total of 14 family teams participated in the event, in which promising talentswere emerged in this sport.

Deputy Director of Qatar Olympic Committee Ramadan Tournament 2024, Amna Al Ansari said the centerstage goal of the tournament is to strengthen social relations between the QOC employees and to promote Olympismand Sport For Life idea among employees during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

“We are truly happyto include family category into shooting and Padel events for the first time in the history ofthe QOC Ramadan Tournaments,” she added.

In the same context, the head ofshooting technical committee, Mrs. Hind Al Ibraheem said we are really delighted to see this impressive turnout from QOC employees and families tothe tournament’s opening day.

She also confirmed thatthe QOC will spare no effort to empower women participation in community events and strengthening their role in the sport.

This year, the QOC Ramadan Tournament is seeing three key sport disciplines, beach volleyball ( for departments), shooting (shotgun + air gun) for men, women and families and padel (men).
